Visit of students from the Hong Kong Secondary Student Space Station Popular Science Payload and Science Experiment Design Challenge - 12 APR, 2025
We are glad to welcome high school students from the Hong Kong Secondary Student Space Station Popular Science Payload and Science Experiment Design Challenge to visit AAF. We had introduced our Large Wind Tunnel and Acoustic Lab, along with our research highlight and achievements, to enhance students’ knowledge of aerospace and its applications.
Visit of JD’s Founder, Mr. Richard Liu - 17 MAR, 2025
We are honored to welcome Mr. Richard Liu (刘强东), the founder of JINGDONG, to our Aerodynamics and Acoustics Facility. Prof. ZHANG Xin and Prof. ZHOU Peng presented a series of assessments to illustrate how drones can function effectively while reducing their acoustic impact. For example, LAE noise assessment, route planning, wind safety, low noise design, drone testing in an anechoic chamber, and an outdoor drone noise assessment system.

We are pleased to welcome the outstanding students and teachers from Beijing Tsinghua University and Jiangsu Zheng Liangmei Senior High School to visit our facilities. Prof. Zhou Peng introduced our low-noise low-speed wind tunnel, and the world-class large acoustic testing laboratories.
