Swire Professor and Chair Professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering. Established the Airbus Noise Technology Centre (ANTC) at Southampton University in 2008 and the Aerodynamics Acoustics and Noise Control Technology Centre (AANTC) at HKUST in 2015, and director of WWTF since 2016. Commissioned the UNITED anechoic wind tunnel in 2016, and redeveloped the WWTF facility with brand new state-of-the-art aerodynamic and acoustic testing facilities.

PhD in aerodynamics and aeroacoustics from the Airbus Noise Technology Centre at Southampton University in 2016. Over 6 years of experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), high-order computational aeroacoustics (CAA), wind tunnel model design and testing, and acoustic experiments. Developed the drone aeroacoustics research laboratory at the AANTC in HKUST.

Test equipment management and preparation of various equipment status and user documentations for the TSI hot-wire anemometry system and the Cobra probe flow instrumentation system of the Facility. Over 12 years of experience in STEM outreach and instructional teaching of advanced mathematics and physics topics under various international senior secondary curricula. Previously worked in STEM educational programme development and programme management for gifted and talented senior secondary school students of Hong Kong in a local NGO subvented by the EDB, HKSAR. Previously RA of the CLP WWTF, HKUST, specialised in environmental Air Ventilation Assessment (AVA) consultancy experimentation and preparation of client reports. Recipient of the Royal Aeronautical Society Centennial Scholarship Awards (Individual) in November 2011, London, United Kingdom.
