TSI Hotwire Anemometry System

    Introduction

    • The AAF’s hot-wire anemometry system is the TSI IFA-300 constant temperature set-up. It works by having the sensor resistance kept constant by a servo-amplifier.
    • It is a system in which the output from the bridge (raw) voltage is amplified and used to control the supply voltage such as to maintain the wire temperature constant.
    • The amplified output, also known as the temperature corrected voltage required to maintain the wire at a constant temperature, is a function of the fluid velocity.
    • This equipment is to be used within the Facility only.
