The Aerodynamics and Acoustics Facility at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is looking for a high caliber candidate to fill the position of Technical Officer to work with the technical team at the Facility. The Facility has 2 laboratories, the Wind Tunnel and Anechoic Laboratory and the Acoustic Laboratory. The Wind Tunnel and Anechoic Laboratory is currently commissioning large wind tunnel and anechoic facilities. The role of the Technical Officer is to provide technical support to the laboratories on the use and maintenance of equipment, and provide assistance to the Facility’s teaching/research/consulting projects.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree/higher diploma in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of relevant working experience. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. Strong skills in computer aided design and design manufacturing are an advantage. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
